| Notts Campaign for Better Transport | Works for transport policies within Nottinghamshire that give greater priority to the environment. Action for improved rail and bus services, and making walking and cycling safer and more pleasant. |
| Nottingham Civic Society | This Society is engaged in fighting for conservation and good planning in Nottingham; safeguarding listed buildings from demolition or neglect. |
| Nottingham Industral Museum | Nottingham Industrial Museum is located in the 17th century stables block of Wollaton Hall, on the western edge of Nottingham. Usually open Thursday, Saturday & Sunday and some Bank Holidays. Check their web site for confirmation. |
| NEDIAS | North East Derbyshire Industrial Archaeology Society − NEDIAS. A Society discovering much about the rich industrial history and archaeology of the broader Chesterfield and north-east Derbyshire area. There are monthly meetings with talks on fascinating local heritage, and our members receive quarterly Newsletters full of details about “What’s On”. We visit local and not-so-local sites of interest, and we carry out surveys and limited excavation within the area. |
| The Workers’ Educational Assosciation | The WEA offers people the opportunity to study with knowledgeable tutors. All students have the opportunity to suggest what courses the local branch or group puts on. The East Midlands’ Region puts on around 900 courses a year, attracting students from all walks of life. Often courses are run which include subjects close to NIHA’s interests. |
